Lydia Rodrigues hosts a biannual retail project (created in 2015) at the intersection of art and fashion, showcasing contemporary and independent designers and makers within intimate settings in Manhattan's Lower East Side. With an eye for thoughtful designers and unique finds hand-selected the world over, each SALON is an intimate shopping event introducing the rare and unexpected with a focus on sustainable, inclusive, intelligent design. In 2023 we started LRCHQEV which pivoted LRC into a full-time schedule showcasing LRC designers in an exhibition format.
LRC has been invited to exhibit in many shows, some of which include Ligia Dias' The Corner Piece N°3 Belo Campo/Gallery Francisco Fino in Lisbon in 2019, The Corner Piece N°1 at the Independent Art Fair in Brussels in 2017 and our limited edition LRC x BLESS TAM COAT was included in Jeppe Ugelvig's graduate exhibition at Bard College. Before establishing LRC, Lydia Rodrigues ran the infamous Project no. 8 (2006-2011), hosted a series of private dinners with artist Susan Cianciolo in the summer of 2011 and co-created an art/shop in Milan, Italy with painter Adele Röder (from Das Institut) inspired by Sonia Delaunay’s ‘Atelier Simultane’, 2012.
